Splendid DK is an 85/15 Extrafine Superwash Merino / Nylon 4 ply yarn. Splendid’s Extrafine Merino is 19.5 microns and splendidly soft, perfect for all of your next to skin items and with the little bit of added nylon makes it resilient enough for socks and gloves as well.
Hand wash using a wool detergent, cold water, avoid wringing and twisting. Dry flat out of direct sunlight, do not spin or tumble dry. I do put my socks in the washer, but shawls and sweaters I hand wash. Remember you spent a lot of time making your item, so it’s always a good idea to take extra care.
Please keep in mind that not all computers show images the same way. I do my best to photograph the yarn’s true colors, but variations do exist.
This is hand dyed yarn so no two skeins will be exactly alike, that is the beauty of hand dyeing. If you are using more than one skein for a project it is best to alternate between skeins.
My yarn is dyed in a smoke free / pet free environment.
Highly saturated colors may bleed always test a swatch when mixing dark and light colors of yarn.
